Counting how many kererū are (or aren’t) in our neighbourhoods is really important. City Sanctuary will be using results from the Great Kererū Count to see how community predator control is affecting native wildlife. If there is an increase in kererū numbers where people are doing backyard trapping, we can see that it is working!
